8 people have been arrested for suspected connections to the attack in Sousse last Friday. Police are also hunting for two more men who trained with Friday’s attacker in a Libyan camp.
Last Friday, a Tunisian student, Seifeddine Rezgui, opened fire on a beach in Sousse. 38 foreigners died before Rezgui was shot dead by police. This attack follows one in March in the Tunis Bardo Museum where 21 people were killed by two gunmen before they were shot.
Lazhar Akremi, a minister, said “This is a group who were trained in Libya, and who had the same objective. Two attacked the Bardo and one attacked Sousse. Police are hunting for two more.”
The Islamic State (Isis) said that it was responsible for the attack on Friday. Of the 38 dead, 27 have been confirmed as British. Read the original article: Tunisia attack: police arrest eight people
