“Why are those words in italics?" Kirsty asked.
“I don’t know. They seem to be random . Some verbs, some prepositions: too, free, hate, sever, won, for.”
The siblings looked each other, then Kirsty laughed, breaking the tension that had held since Andy arrived. It was obvious when you read them aloud - the words make a number. Kirsty picked up her case and rolled the dials to [2,3,8] [7,1,4] and the locks clicked open.
